Having the correct amount of tread on yours tyres is an extremely import part of motoring.
The less tread you have, the worse the tyres will perform and the longer the braking distance. At Fresh we offer free tyre checks at any time but if you don’t have time to pop by there is a simple trick you can apply at home. Simply pop a 20p coin in your tread and see if you can still see the outer boarder of your coin. If you can still see the outer boarder then I am afraid your tyres are below the legal limit of 1.6mm and shouldn’t be on the road. This can carry a fine of up to 6 points and £1000 per tyre!
